GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT

I am the father of Robert Burns Springsteen one of the men accused of the Yogurt Shop Murders in Texas. As you have seen in previous statements, I have strong beliefs as well as numerous others that our justice system in the United States is incompetent and in utter disarray. It is worse in other states than in some. I have had several people as well as lawyers call me from Texas to tell me that the justice system there is in shambles and to keep Robert here for as long as possible. As you know, these attempts have failed. We were very concerned for Robert's safety because of the death threats from Texas. Should we have not been concerned? On an Austin, Texas news cast they said that he was a dangerous security risk and they arraigned him at the county jail. But yet hours later, they left his jail cell door unlocked and ajar. Robert said not to worry about it. He felt it was his allotted time out. As you can see, he's very naive to things like this.

APD did not tell him it was his time out. How odd. Just think of what they would have said when he came out of his cell. Trying to escape, Kill him, or some other inmate has the opportunity to kill him. There are so many things they could have done. Don't you find it odd that hours before, he was too dangerous to take to magistrate court, but they left his cell door unlocked?

Now is the time someone should stand up and speak out against our justice system or it will keep eating up the oppressed. Look at how many times the APD a.k.a. Bungling Buffoons, have mishandled this case with no regard for anyone else's life other than their own. Look around you at all the corrupt, money hungering political leaders and the moves they make against the oppressed. They keep doing what they want and we keep letting them. It's time to stop them some how, some way.

Look at how Robert was guilty until proven innocent in Charleston. Prosecutor Bill Forbes was quoted as saying, "Any day is a good day if your not on death row." He very unethically said my son was guilty. Did he not take an oath to seek and uphold justice for all? One lawyer was quoted as saying after Robert's final extradition hearing, "Did you like Judge King's campaign speech?" Remember in my second statement about trying to move up the political ladder? Judge King also seems to have stumbled with his words as to not knowing what he was doing. He doesn't have to, he has all the power. Looks like politics to me. And didn't the Supreme Court Justices take the same oath? They took about 40 minutes to vote (key word for politicians) on this case. Did they want to see justice served or were they just having a conversation about Kiss being appointed and didn't want the bad press? Remember, we're going into a very big election year. Also, Gov. Underwood's reply answer to Mrs. Moss' (Robert's wife) letter she wrote three weeks ago came on November 18th, the day Robert's hearings concluded. Umm. Is it power, money hungering politicians or guilty until proven innocent? Two great choices!

I will stand up against my son's aggressors by myself or with others. Do I want to upset people? No! We did not ask for this fight. It asked for us. I would love to have my life back. But it will never be the same. I am fighting this fight with God first and the constitutional freedom of speech second. Last but not least, I will shine a very bright light on the justice system and speak out against their every move.

I do fear God and for my son's life. I would hope that any parent would fight for their child as I have and will, when they are being wronged. If there are those who are offended by what I say, then there must be some truth in the message. I do have a loving and caring family that I want to get back to as soon as we can resolve this travesty of injustice. So everyone help keep an eye on me. There are those who want me to quit because of the truths I have spoken. They don't want the oppressed to stand up against them. It's time. It's time.

I am forming for Robert and myself an organization to stand up against the justice system and our aggressors. It will be called the Mountain Mob Militia.

1. Mountain stands for the mountains of oppressed citizens that keep getting swallowed up in our justice system. It's also our closest point to God here on earth.

2. Mob stands for the numerous news forms that we can use. So that we may use our tongues (two edged sword) to express our constitutional right for freedom of speech.

3. Militia stands for citizen army to stand up to and to hold accountable to ensure that justice will be served the right way not the way they want to make it. Remember, we have our children recite the pledge of allegiance stating justice for all.

I will be your watch dog in this and any and every move I will speak out for or against. I will make sure that I am here and that you will seek true justice. If you want me to be quiet and go back to my quiet rural home, then this is what it will take.

You know these four young men did not do this. You have already, on more than one occasion, tried to speak with more than one of us about a plea agreement before there has ever been an indictment. That's very unusual. Do you not have enough evidence? Maybe you don't want those sealed crime scene photos or attorney reports to come out. Why is that? Maybe Mr. Moebius has some validity to his thoughts, but I am sure we will never know. Remember. Power and money or is politicians and corruption. You want me to quit? Then do the right thing for a change and drop all charges on all four boys. Then I will go back to what little life you left me with.

Can we not do as it's been set forth in the courts? Innocent until proven guilty. It's time we stopped them from swallowing up our children, families and friends. By the way - You acted out against the wrong child this time!
