- "I don't know what your opinion is of the yogurt shop prosections; but I'd like to know where you stand on current police interrogation techniques and whether you will enforce the right of individuals to be assumed innocent until proven guilty.

- I want to know why our family has to put up with public officials pronouncing this case solved and all but closed and then get a gag order to shut us up. When it's announced we're ready for trial, all we get is hemming and hawwing from the judge on down.
- Case of Roy Rose, "witness" in the yogurt shop murders and a friend of Robert Springsteen, Jr.

- I want to know why Roy Rose was treated like a criminal by APD, Greg Cox, and others.
- I want to know why state and/or federal charges haven't been brought against the officers and Greg Cox, independant of any legal action the Rose's may take.
- I want to know if Roy would be considered a victim and be eligible for victim's rights under your administration.
- I want to know if you will allow witnesses to be threatened with prison terms if they don't testify to what "APD knows they know". It's irrelevant if it's legal, it's not right.
- I want to know why Ricky Jerome Jackson was locked up for 15 months without an indictment.
- With so many rights violations and lack of proof of any sort, I want to know why the yogurt shop case is even being prosecuted. Is Austin so corrupt that judges allow prosecutors and police to ignore laws and criminal code procedure so everyone looks good to the public and they can get a conviction knowing it would probably be overturned and then fall back on the "O.J. sidestep" - "We know they're guilty, we just can't prove it"?
- I want someone to show me how I am supposed to trust or support a system that allows these things to happen without conscience or consequences.
- I do not see law and order, I see a crime and punishment mentality applied to the presumed guilty.
- Robert Springsteen, Sr."
